EMAX Tinyhawk NanoScout HDZero
EMAX
Budget 65mm 1S trainer from EMAX's beginner Tinyhawk line
The Tinyhawk NanoScout HDZero is EMAX's 65mm ducted 1S micro whoop — the HDZero-equipped build of the beginner NanoScout airframe. A single board carries the flight controller, ESCs, 200mW HDZero and receiver, keeping dry weight to roughly 23.5g.
The full story
The NanoScout airframe launched in late 2024 as an analog beginner whoop; the HDZero build joined the same EMAX USA listing as a second purchase option in late 2025. Both share the one-piece ducted 65mm frame, 0801.5 22000KV motors and 31mm Avia props.
Power comes from EMAX's 1S 320mAh HV pack on the EM2.0 connector; flying weight is about 32.5g with that pack. A ready-to-fly kit version bundles a controller and goggles for a complete starting package.
EMAX sells the spares individually — frame with camera mount, motors, props and batteries — so crash repairs don't depend on third-party parts.
Pros & cons
Pros
- Genuine HDZero digital video on a 65mm ducted 1S trainer — one of the few entry-level airframes in this class with a real COFDM HDZero option rather than analog.
- Single AIO board integrates flight controller, ESCs, 200mW HDZero VTX and ELRS receiver, keeping dry weight around 23.5g and simplifying repairs.
- OEM spares ecosystem: frame, motors, props and 1S 320mAh HV EM2.0 batteries are all sold individually by EMAX.
Show all 4 pros
- Also offered as a ready-to-fly kit with controller and goggles for first-time pilots.
Cons
- Sold as a variant on a listing whose default option is the analog build — easy to order the wrong configuration.
- EMAX does not publish the camera model or exact AIO board revision on the store listing.
- Beginner-tuned 1S powertrain on 31mm props trades top speed for durability and indoor manners.
Show all 4 cons
- The included 320mAh pack gives short flight times; the EM2.0 connector limits third-party battery choice.
